Talking to your matches on Yahoo! Personals, now available at Match.com on Yahoo!, requires a subscription to the service. Registration allows you to search the dating database for free; however, to communicate with your matches, you must become a subscriber to the Yahoo! Personals service. Other Yahoo!/Match.com services are available for talking to matches for a lower subscription price on Yahoo! Personals. You can talk to your matches on the Yahoo! Personals through your Yahoo! email, Yahoo! Messenger or a phone number forwarded to your cell phone by Yahoo! that only you and your match have access to.

     Check your forwarded messages on your personal email or the email you use on the Match.com on Yahoo! website. Enter your match's screen name in the "To" section of a new email message, then include "@talkmatch.com" after your match's name.

     Include an invitation to chat on your choice of instant messaging services. Include your screen name, but do not include your personal email address, and eliminate any signatures that include personal information about yourself until you know the person better.

Email your matches from a personal email address only after you have emailed them through the Match.com on Yahoo! website.

Add the "E-mail Read Notification," enabling an alert that lets you know that your match has read your email.

Click on "Account" at the top of the page. Choose "Subscription Status." Select the "Subscribe to Additional Match.com Service."

Become a full member of Match.com to view and respond to VIP, or very interested person, emails. Select "Use your VIP E-mail" when sending a message, but be aware that this selection is only available on a weekly basis.

  Set up your Yahoo! Messenger preferences on your "Account" link by selecting the "Instant Messenger" link.

  Select "On" to talk to your matches via instant message. Select "Go."

  Set your status in your profile to "E-mail Me Now," if you wish to receive instant messages, or IMs, from your matches.

  Use Match Talk to receive phone calls from your matches, which are forwarded by Yahoo! to the phone number you signed up with. Use the Match.com on Yahoo! phone number that is provided to call your matches.

  Subscribe to the service, then invite your matches to a phone conversation by sending a request on their profile page.

  Talk to your matches during the free trial period if you are not a full subscriber. Use your free trial for several days, then decide if you wish to become a full member of Yahoo! Personals on Match.com.

  Use a free trial by selecting "Account," then "E-mail and Phone Contact Options." Select the "Special Offers and Promotions." Select which alerts you want. Choose "Save."
