IMPORTANT: 20142015 Financial Aid Award Notification

**Newly Admitted Students (Freshmen/Transfers) for 2014-2015: Estimated financial aid packages will be available by the end of March 2014. Final award notifications will be sent around mid-June.

** Continuing Students for 2014-2015: Financial Aid Award Notifications will be e-mailed sometime around mid-June. This process will continue on a weekly basis throughout the year. At that time, please log into your PAWS account, review the award notification and follow the instructions. Reviewing your aid package will help you to budget your costs for the upcoming academic year.

If you do not receive an award notification please log into your PAWS account and review your To Do list for any outstanding items due to the OSFA.

The Financial Aid Process Has Changed

  • Income tax data can be easily transferred from the IRS to your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool
  • IRS Tax Return Transcripts will be required if you are selected for verification & if you do not use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool
  • State of NJs application deadline to receive a Tuition Aid Grant (financial aid consolidation) is June 1, 2014
  • Dont forget to respond to the additional questions required by the State of NJ on the 2014-2015 FAFSA Confirmation Page

Announcements

  • If you have already completed your FAFSA and are now planning on using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool please allow a minimum of two weeks for your PAWS account to be updated and reflect this change.

*Please be advised that TCNJ will not be able to certify the loan(s) until you have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), received an award letter from The College, and accepted the offered loan(s) via PAWS.

**New borrowers must complete Entrance Loan Counseling before the first disbursement of their loan assistance at TCNJ. Borrowers graduating, ceasing enrollment, or withdrawing from TCNJ must complete Exit Loan Counseling prior to leaving the campus. Failure to oblige these requirements may result in award cancellation or the withholding of student records.
