Yes if you have been convicted of a first time DUI, that can result in a probation period of up to 5 years in Vista Court. If you are placed on probation, California has a "zero tolerance" policy which means you will be charged with violating the terms of DUI probation if you test positive for any amount of alcohol while driving, even if you are below the legal limit for DUI of .08 BAC (blood alcohol content.)
To have no complications, you'll want to complete your DUI probation without receiving any further misdemeanor or any criminal convictions. This doesn't include simple traffic violations such as speeding. Those are ok on probation.
Also if your license is suspended for DUI please don't risk driving to court (or anywhere) during a hard suspension. Many people decide to take a risk and drive to a court date. If you have hired an experienced Escondido DUI Defense attorney, you don't need to be there in the first place.
Otherwise you could be stopped within the Vista courthouse complex lot or on South Melrose Drive immediately after leaving court. I've heard a lot of speculation on whether or not the local San Diego Vista Branch Sheriffs watch for this, but my advice is simple: if your license is suspended don't risk it. It's just not worth the hassle and potential extended suspension and increased fines and costs.
